Nose in a Book | I recently bought a book where the second page included a particularly repulsive description trying to describe a type reaction to fear and I instantly had to give it back for a refund. The book maybe a popular series but I cant’t imagine reading that again or worse later on. Have you ever read something in a book early on that immediately makes you want to throw it back?

Yes, I have! I remember starting the first Twilight book and instantly being annoyed by something and hating Bella. Years later I reread the first few pages and couldn’t figure out what bothered me so much. In that case, I kept reading, but sometimes (like you) I’ll put the book down.
