"If you take a book with you on a journey,…an odd thing happens: The book begins collecting your memories. And forever after you have only to open that book to be back where you first read it. It will all come into your mind with the very first words: the sights you saw in that place, what it smelled like, the ice cream you ate while you were reading it…yes, books are like flypaper—memories cling to the printed page better than anything else."

I made a John Green themed cootie catcher. It’s not very practical since it takes a lot longer to spell out the names of his books instead of just spelling colours. The general idea is to ask a yes/no questions about your future and it will answer cryptically. I asked how my summer was going to be and it said “Things never happen the way you imagine them.” The quotes used as fortunes were paraphrased and you can see them all here. Now that I’ve done this it seems sort of silly, especially since I am not artistic and have such messy writing.
