I have actually been thinking about getting a stable Kindle for my personal, non-school-centric readings. But that is...

Kobo or Kindle (now that Kindle has made its way to Canada)?
Kobo! This may have changed, but I don’t think you can read e-books from the library on the kindle.

Can you review Blue Is Sad by Emily Leung? It's on Amazon kindle. It's pretty cool.
Sorry, I haven’t!

How do you choose which books to buy for your Nook and which to buy phisically??? Just wondering...I have a Kindle and always have a hard time deciding :P
To be honest, I’ve had an e-reader singe June and I’ve only bought one book! I mainly read e-galleys, library e-books and the free classics that came with it. I figure if I’m certain I’ll like a book (based on recommendations, the author or the synopsis) I’ll probably buy the hard copy. If I’m not sure about a book buy want to give it a shot, I’d probably buy the e-book, since it’s cheaper and doesn’t take up space on my shelf.

I'm pretty sure your Kobo library cannot be read on Arc Kindle in native but purchased Kobo titles can be RE-downloaded as ePub version which can be transferred to alternate device.
Oh, thank you!

i just wanted to ask, where do you buy books? do you sometimes buy books online?
I sometimes buy books online, but only if it’s a really good deal or if I can only find the book on the Internet. Online stores I use are Chapters, Amazon and The Book Depository. I buy books at the bookshop in my library, Chapters and Indigo, BMV in Toronto and some used independent shops.

i am also thinking of buying kindle reader. however most of my friends are telling me to get an ipad instead. how many books can i store in kindle? can i transfer my ebooks from my pc to kindle?
The kindle carries 3,500 books. You can transfer books from your kindle to any device, so you can read on your kindle, than pick up right where you left off on your pc.
My parents have iPads, and they have an e-reader program on it. It’s in colour, unlike on my kobo, but you get a lot of glare, unlike e-readers. And they’re more money, obviously. But they do a lot more than an e-reader at the same time.

Hi, I have a question for you. I am cannot decide if I should get a Kindle or not. I feel like I am turning my back on books (the physical aspect of books) if I get a Kindle. But at the same time getting a Kindle seems so practical. Especially since I am always on the run. What do you think are the pros and cons of purchasing a Kindle?
Hey! I have a kobo wifi and I’m really happy with it. Having an e-reader doesn’t have to mean you’ll no longer read physical books, since I read and buy just as many as ever. The main cons of e-readers is that they are breakable and they cost approximately $130, which could buy a lot of books instead. The price was mainly why I didn’t want to get one at first. They are excellent if you have concerns about space or if you travel a fair bit. Mine is e-ink, so there’s no glare. I’ve had an e-reader since June and I’ve only bought one book: the majority of the time I read library books, the free classics that came with it and e-galleys. Having the kobo has made my life a lot easier, especially since I’m going to work at a summer camp in the summer and won’t have very much space for my stuff. I really love to read, and having an e-reader has meant being able to read as many books as I want on vacation, instead of the one or two physical books I can fit in my bag. Going to a store that carries them and checking them out might help you with your decision. I’m pretty sure they’ll have them at Walmart and most electronic stores. Good luck!

I'm having problems with my kindle and I'm wondering if you or any of your followers could help me? I know you don't have a Kindle but I just wanted to see if you know :) I registered my kindle a month ago and I have recently linked it to Goodreads. But I'm currently reading a book and It hasn't put the book to "currently reading" on Goodreads and I don't know what to do or how to fix it! It is also like this for my Kindle account :/
That sucks! I have no idea, but hopefully someone else will be able to help you. Good luck!

I got a kindle today and for the first time since I've been buying ebooks I realized I had bought 100 of them. I'm a freak! *giggle* is there a 12 step program to giving up books?
Haha, I don’t think there is because someone would have signed me up by now! Have fun with your kindle and your ebooks!

I like the idea of a kindle, but I don't think I'll ever be able to buy one. I just love the feeling of owning books, turning the pages, seeing my progress, and the smell of books as they get older. You know?
I agree! I love books. I think if I had a kindle I’ve be really into it at first, but then I’d forget about it and keep buying books. My dad’s always telling me to get one (to save space) but the price throws me off. The Kobo is $139, and I can’t help thinking about all the books I could get at a used bookshop for that much money. However, last summer I worked at a summer camp on an island, and having an e-reader would have been awesome. I was there for 9 weeks and was only able to take so much with me for the summer. Once I read all the books I brought, I had to read other peoples (I ended up reading Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone in French, because there were so few options. And I am really bad at French, so it took forever). Anyways, I think I’ll always love books, but I wouldn’t be surprised if I ever end of getting a e-reader for convenience and travelling, but still use books at home.
