Can you recommend any (YA / NA) books with main characters in college or spending some time traveling after finishing school? Something like "Just One Day" or the later "Gilmore Girls"-seasons rather than "Beautiful Disaster", "Easy" and the likes of them.

Sure! I’ve always found that there aren’t enough books about the college years that were written for young adults. I liked Bass Ackwards and Belly Up, The Disenchantments, Where She Went (not sure if it counts…) and I’ve heard that The Morganville Vampire Series and Into the Wild are good. Do you guys know any others?

My roommates and I are looking for books for college-age readers with college-age characters. Any suggestions? :)

How about Fan Girl and Just One Day? I always find it difficult to think of books about college aged characters for some reason. I know the Jessica Darling series, which starts with Sloppy Firsts, follows her in college in the third book. A long time ago I read a book called Bass Ackwards and Belly Up, which is about a group of friends who decide to follow their dreams after high school, which means one stays at home to write a novel, one goes to Europe, one goes to LA to become an actress and one goes to college.
