My friend sent me this book of poetry, Skin Divers by Anne Michaels. And a scarf and some tea!

imagePeter Nimble and His Fantastic Eyes caught my eye and I took it out from the library. It focuses on a blind boy who is an excellent thief. I also took out and watched Ponyo, which was really amazing. It’s an adaptation of Hans Christian Andersen, directed by Hayao Miyazaki.

Do you like poetry as much as novels? If so, who are your favourite poets, and could you recommend any poetry books or books about poetry?

I wouldn’t say I like poetry as much as novels, but I do really enjoy it. I like Ariel by Sylvia Plath, Skin Divers by Anne Michaels, Not Much Fun by Dorothy Parker and Leaves of Grass by Walt Whitman. I don’t know any books about poetry, though. I also like E.E. Cummings, Robert Frost and Emily Dickinson.

Hello! Right now I’m going through a E.E. Cummings phase, but I also like Dorothy Parker, Sylvia Plath, Walt Whitman and I read Skin Divers by Anne Michaels and it was amazing. Here are some tumblr poets I like: j.l.x, kpk, Tyler Knott, e.g, a.y, c.p and m.k. As for poems about the human condition, I’m not sure if I can think of any off the top of my head.
