I thought it would be a good time for a bookshelf tour! In my bedroom I have a wall of my main bookshelves: a skinny shelf for junior fiction, a fat shelf for my adult fiction and a skinny shelf for YA. This is shown in the centre picture. Near my bed I have another bookshelf full of non-fiction, cookbooks and magazines. I also have a bookshelf as my bedside table with most of my Harry Potter stuff. My bookshelves are currently fairly crowded with random nicknacks, like the beautiful rose my friend made me (picture 1.) Some of my non-fiction books are shown on the right and the left in the middle row. You can see the full shelf here. You can see all the pictures I’ve posted of my shelves here.

After adding two new bookshelves, getting rid of my desk and a lot of old books, here’s my current bookshelf layout.

I now have an elephant tea pot and I want the world to know! I think it’s the cutest thing ever.
EDIT: I got it at a cooking store in this small town where my family was camping last weekend.

"Writing novels is much the same. You gather up bones and make your gate, but no matter how wonderful the gate might be, that alone doesn’t make it a living breathing novel. A story is not something of this world. A real story requires a kind of magical baptism to link the world on this side with the world on the other side."

— Haruki Murakami, Sputnik Sweetheart
